The hibiscus flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa) aka Flor de Jamaica probably comes from West Africa. Used for tea and influenza. These are annual or perennial herbs or woody roots, growing at a height of 2-2.5 m (7-8 ft). Cold hibiscus drink is a drink that is commonly consumed in restaurants in Mexico and Central America. In Mexican restaurants in the US, the drink is sometimes known only as Jamaica. Also very popular in Jamaica, usually flavored with rum. Can be used as karkade or hibiscus tea.
